HollyHock is the alias of Mirjam Wagensveld (1975), a screenprinter and stencilart painter who works fom a studio, located in a suburb of Rotterdam. The alias HollyHock is inspired by the name of the flower Alcea rosea, which grows very well in an urban environment like Rotterdam and Amsterdam. The colorful flowers in urban environments are similar to the appearance of colorful streetart in the same urban environments and so the name HollyHock was found.
